Memory / Bible Verse Jar

Get you a pretty jar, some pretty little pieces of paper, some ribbon and notecard.  On each piece of paper write a memory or bible verse until you have enough for each day of the following year.  Then tie the ribbon around the jar.  Punch a hole in the card and write on it Memory / Bible Verse (which ever it is) Jar and directions to take one each morning upon awaking.

Calendar

These can be printed with pictures of the family from computer but you can get a regular Calendar from the Dollar Tree then put all the family members birthdays, Anniversaries and so on on the correct date.  Might even include how old the person is going to be.

Wooden Christmas Ornaments

Wooden Christmas ornaments

Go to the craft store and pick up some wood cut shapes.  Take a drill– drill a hole in the top.  Some wood paint or Marker and decorate your shape the way your heart desires.  I wood burn these.  Add a pretty ribbon to hang it on the tree.  These would also be cute as tags on gifts. You could make a set for a family member/friend as a Christmas Gift.

Hot Chocolate Mix In a Jar

Now if you get Kool Aid Mix in the plastic cans these would work great to put your mix in.  Once you remove the plastic they make great little storage cans and you could even decorate the can if you wanted by putting the recipe on the front of the can. Maybe add a Snowflake tag with a pretty ribbon. I may try to here and there gather the ingredients so I can make some of these for gifts for Christmas.  If I do I will try to post pictures.  This would be a great little gift for co-workers and so on.

Crochet Kitchen Scrubbies

add a couple crochet dishcloths and a handtowel and you have a nice gift for  a woman

Recipe Booklet or Box

Create a recipe booklet containing a collection of your favorite  recipes you can then pick up a $.99  notecard box and some labels and create a Recipe Box to keep them in or just punch holes and tie together with pretty ribbon.  A step farther is if you wanted to do a basket then you could add a crochet or knitted  kitchen scrubbie and dishcloth.  If you don’t crochet or knit then maybe you could trade with someone else that does.  You could make then the recipe booklets and they could make the scrubbies and dishcloth or you can pick them up at the Dollar Tree.  Basket can be gotten at the Dollar Tree also.

NOTE:

If any of you decide to do this and would like to share a picture–I would love to post it here, because, when I am doing a project that is what I really enjoy–being able to see an example of  the project.  I probably won’t do this again this year as I just did it for the family a few years back.
