Giving Thanks even in Times of Hardship

“Give thanks to the Lord, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.” Isaiah 12:4-5

Giving thanks when we are walking in the valley is hard because  that one great need takes up all our sight and emotions.  However,  it is when we are in the valley that those little blessings are a true light unto our souls.  Often it is those little blessings that help light the path until we reach the other side of the valley when our big prayer and blessing will be unveiled.  I can’t wait until the day we have reach the other side of this valley we walk in and I can proclaim how great and amazing God worked in our lives and the issues at hand.  I truly believe one day I will look back with total amazement at how He was at work from the beginning and how His path lead to great blessings and joy.  Even in the valley I know my God is great–even when I don’t always feel Him near–I know He is always at my side and at work.  In order for us to receive God’s blessing we have to give Him complete control.

Suggestion for the day:

Get two jars label one  Prayer Request and the other Answer Prayers or Blessings…each time one of your prayer request is answer you remove it and put it in the Blessing or Answer Prayer Jar–also put all those little blessings that comes along unexpected in this jar.  It just helps you be able to see just how many blessings and answer prayers do come your way.
